Continuing in our portrait video serie, the enigmatic Yoann Lemoine, a.k.a. Woodkid. A French singer-songwriter, music video director and graphic designer. He recently released his debut album entitled The Golden Age, and put out a series of visually stunning, self-directed videos accompanying his songs. He’s known for his characteristically epic, yet melancholic sound and aesthetic. This is Woodkid.

I know a lot of you would like to know what Dough’nut has been up to for the last few months. We haven’t been really active online because we’re adapting to a new, more professional environment. Last year we worked together closely with innovation studio Present Plus. Collaborating with them allowed us to take Dough’Nut to the next level, and we’re definitely raising the bar even more this year. That’s why from now on, our videos will be Present Plus productions.…

Together with Kiyoshi and Satoru Inoue we travelled the Andean plateau to capture their journey to source one of the most luxurious materials in the world. For us this was one of the most exhilarating trips we ever took, with an even more incredible video as a result. The “Kinderen van Den Haag” and their weekly clubnight “Daghap” are becoming almost legendary for a small city like The Hague. To celebrate their ongoing succes in the next year they created a birthday calender featuring a selection of the most sexy girls. We were blessed to shoot the “behind the scenes” footage for the calendar shoot 2013.
